OCQAS proposes to take the participants on a Vocational Learning Outcome adventure through the internet. At the Credential Validation Service (CVS) we don’t know everything about each profession, so we rely greatly on the internet to inform our VLO reviews and suggestions. This treasure hunting workshop will guide participants through actions that reveal incredible insights into the vocational world. The treasures that we will find will include job postings, accrediting bodies, vocational publications and even use an AI chat bot to write VLOs that are current, relevant and that meet the VLO criteria. These tools will prove to be great assets in the curriculum developer and reviewer’s toolbox.
Participants will be taken on a journey to review VLOs and each step in the journey will offer a new treasure of the internet as a resource. By the end of the session, the participant will have reviewed the VLOs and provided new suggestions to reflect each VLOs truly vocational nature and measurability.
